Stroller Accessories that you must have

Must-have stroller accessories...

By stroller accessories, we mean all those little extras that are not technically part of the stroller unit.

They are not essential to the actual operation of the stroller but they make the run more convenient for you and more comfortable for baby.

Stroller accessories are purchased separately, and fall into four main categories:

BEDDING: includes neck stabilizers, blankets, seat liners, and a variety of duvets. Body stabilizers, neck rests, and cradlers pad your infant ensuring that they fit snugly into the stroller seat. They keep baby firmly in place and prevent her from being bounced around excessively if she is small and/or the running surface is very bumpy. We highly recommend a device of this type.

DIAPER BAGS: A diaper bag is a basic necessity for every parent. It should keep your baby gear well organized and easily accessible. However, there are several styles to choose from: tote, backpack, messenger, daddy, and of course stroller. Checkout out our page dedicated to diaper bags.

CUP HOLDERS: are a very convenient feature that does NOT come standard on almost any stroller. You solve this ridiculous problem by buying a parent console (which is really a little shelf with that sits on the stroller handlebars).

WEATHER PROTECTION: is one of the essential jogging stroller accessories that does not often come standard on most strollers with the exception of the Dreamer Design which has a rain cover included. These see-through covers allow you to get outside under various conditions and protect baby against rain, wind, and snow.

Kiddopotamus Cradler Navy		The cradler provides the essential neck and head support for babies and infants. The brand is adjustable allowing for extension as your child grows.
Fleurville Sling Tote diaper bag Pink Ogo		These bags combine great utility with beautiful styling. They feature fleece lined compartments for keeping bottles warm, and special straps so that you can hang the bag over your stroller handles.
Diaper Dude Diaper Bag Orange		Diaper Dude bags are specially designed for the active dad. They feature bold styling, many zippered pockets, and a removable cushioned padding for changing baby. They come in many styles and colours (and no floral prints!)
Kiddopotamus Snuzzler Gray		This is a typical type of stroller insert that provides stability, extra cushioning, and a snug fit for smaller infants. This is especially useful before the toddler stage when baby has not yet 'grown' into a roomy stroller seat.
JJ Cole Bundle Me Infant Lite Khaki		BundleMe and others like it are cross between a blanket and a sleeping bag. The better brands are fleece-lined and perform double duty in keeping baby snugly inside the seat has well as warm.
Built NY Double Thirsty Tote Hot Pink		This cup holder option can sling over a handlebar but once again works best for closable containers as it not free-standing.
Jogging Stroller Handlebar Console Single		The handle bar console provides a multi-purpose solution in that it holds bottles as well as keys, cell phones and other small items. It provides additional convenience by not having to reach down into the strollers lower pouches. It attaches using a series of straps and fits some but not all strollers.
BOB Weather Shield Duallie SUS/Ironman		A weather shield is an essential stroller accessory. Depending on the stroller model, they either snap on or zip onto the frame and provide water tight protection against rain, snow, and wind. They differ from bug screens which are usually mesh enclosures that allow breeze to flow through.
Active Tunes Stroll-A-Tune Silver		Stroll-a-Tune is a speaker system that fits onto the stroller handlebar and connects to most popular personal audio players: Ipods, Walkmans, cassette players. What the speaker lacks in sound quality, it more than makes up for in convenience and it's a great way to bring your baby's music along for a jog.
