The best double stroller fits your
needs and scores high in all categories...

There's no best double stroller for
everyone. So make sure to
remember your needs and intended activities when you thinking about
different brands.
GO TO THE CHART BELOW and
compare the best
double strollers against each other.
While 20" tires on a fixed wheel
will score highly for dedicated runners, these features won't help you
much in the supermarket aisles. So give it a bit of thought.

The
Good |
We
like the cool concept
of the add-on back seat that lets the stroller convert from a
single to a double. When used as a double, it is narrow and
easily zips between store aisles.
|
The
Bad
|
With
the back-seat on, your
under-seat storage disappears. The back seat costs extra. When
used as a double, you get all the problems of an inline: poor
visibility for the rear passenger. This stroller works best
for walking and will not stand up to even light jogging. It is
also comparatively expensive. |

BOB REVOLUTION DUALLIE

|
The
Good |
We
like the
independently recline seats that almost go flat and the large
adjustable canopies. The car seat adaptor allows you to go from
car to trail very easily. Even though it's a side-by-side, it
get's in and out of standard doorways quite easily. Thanks to the
full swivel front wheel , it is very maneuverable. We also like
that you can actually enjoy a fairly stable run with this - which is
unusual with a swivel wheel double.
|
The
Bad
|
The
underseat basket is a little
shallow and it's hard to fit - a baby bag underneath. Also there
is no lock to keep it shut when folded and no factory installed parent
cup-holder.

BOB Duallie

|
The
Good |
This
is our
favorite off-road fixed wheel - and is the best double trail runner out
there. The fat tires and great suspension make a smooth ride over
gravel and twigs. Overall, this is a well designed,
well built
product. |
The
Bad
|
Our
usual gripe -
no factory installed parent cup-holder.

DREAMER DESIGN Ditto Lite

|
The
Good: |
This
stroller can accomodate a
swivel wheel (sold separately) (Only Chariot offers this rare
option). Also, a rain cover is included with the purchase.
It provides a fairly good run on smooth surfaces. Also, it's a
fairly uncommon stroller - and everyone doesn't have one.
|
The
Bad
|
It's
pretty wide (3 ft) and you
may not be able to get through some doorways. Will not fit into
a mid-size car trunk without taking off the wheels. Also, steel
wheel hubs are vulnerable to rust over time.

Schwinn Free Wheeler AL 2
double stroller Blue/Green

|
The
Good |
There
is an
adjustable height handlebar, and the parent drink console comes
included. The aluminum frame and wheels are light, and it comes
with a good parking brake.
|
The
Bad
|
The
cabin area is
fairly cramped and there is no individual canopy adjustment.
Schwinn had some
problems with the fold lever in the earlier versions of this model, but
they seem to have worked it out.
